Treatment
A continuum of therapeutic
communities providing a phase structured regimen of chemical dependency
services for men and women, age 17 and above. Program services include:
Group and individual counseling, vocational and educational services,
legal support services and medical and social services. J-CAP therapeutic
communities offer a rich environment for interpersonal skills development
and individual growth.
Day Service Program
A structured yet flexible
chemical dependency treatment and support program for clients assessed
at a more stable level of functioning, and already employed or enrolled
in an education or training program. Day Service provides rapid
Interventions for relapse prevention and strengthening drug-free
lifestyles.
New Spirit
The New Spirit Chemical
Dependency and Family Service program Provides Alcohol and Substance
Abuse education in an individual, group and family counseling model.
A range of services include: Health assessments, DWI Program, Vocational/Educational
Services, Recreational and Social services, Psychiatric Evaluation,
Domestic Violence Counseling, and Nutritional Education.
Safe Kids
A day program for youth
(10-21 years) providing prevention, intervention and diversion services
to adolescents at high risk for truancy, violence, drug/alcohol
involvement and behavioral problems. Safe Kids works closely with
schools, local youth organizations, and police precincts, to identify
and assist young people and their families.
Family and Friends
Program
Relatives, children,
spouses and significant others, are important In the lives of our
clients and are often a key to successful treatment outcomes. Family
and friends support meetings help to strengthen an understanding
on issues of shared concern.
New Beginnings
New Beginnings is a day
center for teen mothers and their children. The program provides
a wide range of services to support young mothers and pregnant teens
Including: childcare, nutrition education, sexuality and family
planning, peer support, HIV and STD information, and counseling
on key issues for healthy life management.
Living Proof/
Primary Care
A Peer Outreach and Education
Program providing HIV/AIDS seminars to organizations in communities
at-risk for HIV/AIDS. Living Proof offers awareness, prevention,
intervention, harm/risk reduction and medical care ( Article 28
diagnostic and treatment center) to substance users and related
groups both in and out of J-CAP treatment programs.
Medical Services
A network of NYSDOH licensed
diagnostic and treatment centers provide medical and healthcare services to residential and outpatient clients.
J-CAP Article 28 clinics are affiliated with local hospitals and
specialty providers to ensure appropriate care for all J-CAP participants.
ATTAIN LAB
An innovative center
for information, education, and exploration. ATTAIN is a SUNY/cyberspace
laboratory connecting our clients’ vision to real world opportunities
and outcomes .
Support Services
J-CAP, Inc. has developed
an array of legal, social and advocacy services relating to all
aspects of our client’s lives. As needs become more complex
we continue to respond with expanded access to specialized services.
Vocational and
Educational Department
Services include: Assessments,
evaluations, career development, resume design, simulated job interview
sessions, adult and GED education programs, job training and work
readiness skills opportunities.
Staff Training
and Development
J-CAP provides CASAC
accredited education, training and development programs to enhance
clinical skills and ensure a current knowledge and practice base.
Interdisciplinary workshops and sessions are held to maximize coordination
between programs and departments.
